The Need

The growth in the Severance and West Greeley area has greatly increased enrollment at Severance High School. SHS had nearly 900 students at the start of the 2022-23 school year, exceeding its capacity of 800 students. 

Highlights

The school was constructed with growth in mind, with the ability to add additional wings or "pods" over time. This addition will include expanding the school to accommodate an additional pod.

• 1,200-student total school capacity

• 18 classrooms, including flexible learning spaces and science labs

• Culinary kitchen with catering prep space, garment/laundry, pantry, and wet storage

• Additional collaboration spaces, teacher work rooms, and conference rooms
